Working with 3D PDF files

To review the block design botiss provides you with a 3D PDF file which you can find on the individual order web page.

In the following steps we will explain how to work with this file:

  • Log into your account on www.botiss-bonebuilder.com
  • Click on “My Orders” and select your specific order page
  • Right-click on the available 3D PDF file
    • Save Target as (for Mozilla Firefox & Microsoft Edge Browser
  • For other browser:
    • Save Link as (in Google Chrome)
    • Download linked file (in Mac Safari)
  • Choose the location on your computer where you would like to save the file
  • Select Save
You need the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
You can download it for free on https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader/
Make sure the default owner of PDF files is Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
  • Right-click the thumbnail of the PDF file, and then click Properties.
  • In the file’s Properties dialog box, click Change.
  • Choose Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, and then click OK.
  • In the Properties dialog box, click OK.
  • If you encounter problems while opening a 3D-PDF file for the first time, please check if 3D content is enabled.
  • Click on the button “Edit” and select Preferences
  • For Mac users: Click on the button “Adobe Acrobat Reader” and select Preferences
  • Select the category 3D & Multimedia
  • Make sure that the checkbox “Enable playing of 3D content” is active
  • Click on OK
  • You only need to enable this preference once, the program will remember it the next time you open a 3D PDF file
  • Close and reopen the 3D PDF file – now you should be able to see the 3D content

  • Use the “Snipping Tool”to make a screenshot of the model
  • Use the pen to highlight your changes
  • Save the file and send your screenshot via email to us: bonebuilder@botiss.com
